Diamond Dreams is just ten short minutes north of Cooperstown or five minutes west to Richfield Springs. Along the route to Cooperstown you pass by Glimmerglass Opera, Motels & Marina's along the lakeshore drive, Fenimore Art Museum, The Farmers Museum and the famed Otesaga Hotel and Leatherstocking Golf Course. Richfield Springs features shopping, accommodations and restaurants. SOFTBALL VILLAGE Our ''olympic style village'' promotes 24/7 security checkpoints. The Village & Grounds consist of multiple private Clubhouses & assigned Bathhouses. Amenities include Dreamscape- the WiFi lounge & arcade (2011) Dreamland Cafe- the concession stand for those late night snacks. The Circle- tournament and softball information is located near the dining pavilion. Village services include the Infirmary and Village Office. DIAMOND FIELDS Eight state-of-the-art enclosed mini stadiums when completed. The championship stadium field accomodates 1000 spectators. All sport fields include the finest turf, premier mix, are irrigated nightly and lit for maximum playability. Designed to provide the ultimate game experience each infield is cut as a diamond and Diamond Dreams uses our own specially produced 12'' Hall of Fame softballs that produce maximum flight. Field dimensions are 200' fences all around, 40 feet pitching distance (43' 16 &18U) and 60 feet base paths. Each game includes two umpires. SPECTATOR PAVILION Highlighted by the spectator tent, it leads to the diamondsgear gift shop and to the playing diamonds. The Historic Route 20 concession stand is within the area and features a family BBQ on Friday afternoon prior to the Opening ceremonies. TRAINING CIRCUIT - To be completed in 2011! Layed out on a two acre lighted tract. Teams will certainly get their reps. 8 HITTING & PITCHING CAGES- with professional grade netting, framework and electrical outlets. The cages incorporate pitching circles. 4 HITTING QUADS- a Diamond Dreams exclusive. 2 DIAMOND INFIELDS- for ground ball and throws. TWO FUNGO LANES- outfield flyball areas.
